Q. What does hydrophobic mean, and what is it?
A. “Hydro” relates to water, and “phobic” relates to fear. However, this coating isn’t afraid of water – it’s silica-based and repels water! Our coatings are glazed onto the glass. Since glass is porous, this coating smoothly fills in the tiny surface pores so that water, dirt, soap and mineral residue rolls off the glass, making cleaning a breeze.
Q. What are the benefits of this coating?
A. Since the coating makes the glass surface smooth, it’s easier to clean and needs less frequent cleaning. It reduces areas where bacteria, mold, and mildew can develop. And it’s also resistant to scratches and stains.
Q. How long does this coating last?
A. With proper care, your shower door should look beautiful and last for a lifetime.
Q. How can I get a hydrophobic coating on my shower door?
A. Quality is our priority. The hydrophobic coating is a standard feature on the shower doors that we provide to our customers. We’ve got it covered!
Q. How to care for the shower door?
A. Be sure that your shower is ventilated to release humidity. After use, simply dry with a squeegee or clean dry cloth. Clean glass every few weeks with a damp microfiber cloth or mild detergent, such as Dawn, 7th Generation, white vinegar, etc.
Q. What cleaning products should NOT be used on my shower door?
A. Do not use products with bleach, ammonia, or chlorine. Be sure to avoid abrasive and acid-based cleaning products.
Q. How to care for the stainless steel attachments?
A. Use a clean, soft cloth or sponge and a mild cleaning liquid or warm soft water.
Rinse stainless steel surface with soft, warm water after cleaning with detergent and wipe dry. Do not use steel wool or an abrasive tool on stainless steel.
