If someone acting as a contractor cannot produce a license, beware.

HOW long have they been in business, and what’s their track record?

DO they have a physical business location that you can visit, or do they work out of a truck?

WERE the contractors respectful? Did they return your phone calls in a timely manner?

DO they have a professional appearance (including their vehicles and equipment)?

ASK them for at least three references. Then call those references!
“But they aren’t going to give me the names of those who’ve had a bad experience,” you may think. Perhaps not, but check anyway.

CALL at least three other businesses for prices. Be wary of the “lowballer.” How do they undercut prices?

OBSERVE: A quality contractor will be on time, be knowledgeable, work neatly, and clean up properly.
